St. Mark's Church and graveyard is a 19th century Church of Ireland church and graveyard which may have been built on the site of or in close vicinity to the church of Ballyitty [Ballyatty] which is mentioned in a 1619 land grant to Edmond Medhopp (CSP Irel. Jas. 1, 452). In this land grant it mentions 'the lands of Kilnebrosnye 35a, and Glasterymore 341a, except 20a belonging and adjoining the church of Ballyitty as a glebe' (CSP irel. Jas 1, 452). This medieval church may have had a graveyard there are no surface remains of any medieval memorials or pre-1700 headstones within the present graveyard.
