Not visible at ground level. Site located in centre of triangular shaped multi-ramparted ringfort (OF039-002001-) which was bulldozed in the 1970's. According to the ITA Survey (1943) the souterrain was blocked up in the 18th-century and was located in the centre of the ringfort. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
