Site of a holy well dedicated to St Finan of Kinnitty, which has been recently restored by a local stonemason who built a stone canopy over the well. Located beside the well is a large bullaun stone (OF036-065001-) with two deep circular depressions on its surface. This bullaun stone was found in the nearby fields and placed beside the well a couple of years ago.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
