Site report that is in the Archaeological Inventory(entry no. 341) and in SMR file relates to this burial mound located 700m to N of SMR OF031-032. This monument is still upstanding and not levelled as stated in inventory description. This site report of an upstanding monument was taken from a FAS Archaeological Survey dating from 1991. When incorrect site location was inspected, no remains of monument was visible and field boundary had been removed. It was then presumed that the monument had been levelled during the removal of the field boundary. However this description of a burial mound was of a new monument located 700m to N of OF031-032 and was not marked on the OS 6-inch map in the correct located and this description was incorrectly assigned to the location of site OF031-032. This burial mound was re-located by Ellen O'Carroll In April 2006 when an archaeological assesment and testing was undertaken at Money, prior to the development of two houses on the site of the possible enclosure that was identified on Aerial Photograph. This burial mound has now been assigned a new SMR number OF031-068 and the site description in the inventory (entry no. 341) entry has been inserted into the correct SMR file. Situated in pasture land on a S-facing slope. A circular mound (diam. 17.5m N-S x 17.3m E-W; H 0.7m) enclosed by a fosse (Wth 7m) and an external bank (H 0.5m). Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien.
