A number of light roundwoods and heavy brushwood exposed in an area of disturbed peat where a trench (dims. 2.0 x 4.4; D 0.5m) had been machine-excavated and backfilled. This material is located in a spoil heap adjacent to the trench and in the backfilled material. Additional roundwoods were noted on the field surface which may be in situ. One of the pieces of brushwood has a metal-cut toolmark. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
