What is recorded here

Church built with roughly coursed limestone blocks (dims. 16.70m x 7.60m,wall T 0.80m) with remains of vaulted area (Wth 2.80m) indicated by portion of cross-wall at W end. This area at the W was the living quarters for the priest. Five two-light ogee-headed window in E gable with two human heads,one over the hood moulding the other at the N side of it. A third was probably robbed from the S side. Large piscina with plain dressed two-centred arch in E end of S wall. Other doorways and windows have been broken-out. Graveslab (OF027-001003-) dated 1603 not located but recorded (JRSAI 1900,92) and said to have been moved to Walsh Island. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
