What is recorded here

The site (L 22.38m min.; Wth 1.43m; D 0.045m) is orientated ENE-WSW and consists of longitudinal roundwoods (L 0.085-0.18m), brushwood (L 0.03-0.55m) and occasional split timbers. At one sighting these overlie a piece of transverse brushwood. The wood is in very poor condition due to machine damage and lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. This site may be associated with SMR OF026-060---- a togher also orientated ENE-WSW located approximately 75m to the NE. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
