What is recorded here

The site (L 31.87m; Wth 2.25m; D 0.045m min.) is orientated N-S and is constructed of transversely laid brushwood and roundwoods. These are widely spaced with intervals of 2-11m between the surviving elements. The site is very fragmentary and the wood is in a poor condition with woodworking evidenced by a degraded chisel point. It lies in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
