No surface trace visible of church (OF026-036001-) or burial ground. Marked on 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a 'Burying Ground' and described in the OS Field Name Books as 'Templeshenan', which is derived from Teampull Sheanain (St Senan's Church) and described as 'These are the remains of an old church and burying ground (OSFNB 1837-40, vol. 1, 61).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
