Remains of possible tower house constructed with large limestone blocks and set on limestone outcrop in slightly elevated position. E wall (L 11.3m) with slight base batter, three courses high. Part of S wall and N wall (L c. 11m, T c. 1.5m), no W wall. Collapse at SE and NE angles. (ITA Survey 1942). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
