According to the annals of the Four Masters (JKAS 1918, Vol IX, 7) there was a parson of Geashill in 1523 and presumably his church was the site of the present 19th century one. No archaeological remains visible.
No evidence of a medieval church. The present church was built in 1815 probably on the site of the earlier medieval building. Large rectangular shaped graveyard (OF026-004002-) with 17th/19th-century headstones enclosed by a stone wall. Evidence of medieval stonework possibly from the medieval church appears to have been used in the fabric of the cottages in Geashill village. Tower House located to the NE (OF026-005001-).
