Situated on high ground with good extensive views. Sub-circular area (diam 47m N-S; 42m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; ext. H 1.5m; int. H 2.5m) and external fosse (Wth 2.5m; ext. D 1m) with entrance gap (Wth 2.2m) at SE.. A long low rise extends from the entrance gap to the centre of the fort which may have been a path of stone and earth.
