What is recorded here

The site (L 3.98m min.; Wth 1.95m min.; D 0.07m) is comprised of regularly laid mixed brushwood and occasional twigs, which are densely packed and one to two pieces deep. The overall orientation of the site is indiscernible but majority of the wood is orientated N-S with at least four underlying pieces running transverse to these. On average, the transverses are set 0.2m apart. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
