What is recorded here

The site (L 3.3m min.; Wth 1.5m; D 0.04m) is orientated N-S and consists of densely packed, longitudinally laid roundwoods and brushwood, one to two pieces deep. Roundwoods (diam. 0.062-0.083m) define the edges and the brushwood (diam. 0.015-0.045m) is concentrated in the centre. No woodworking is evident and the wood has been very badly damaged by milling. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
