What is recorded here

The site (L 2.5m min.; Wth 2.38m min.; D 0.11m min.) consists of heavy brushwood with some light roundwoods and occasional twigs exposed on the field surface. Most of the elements are orientated N-S with a perpendicular roundwood supporting the upper elements. The orientation of the site could not be determined. Some of the larger elements may have been half-split and a degraded chisel point was noted. The wood is fragmentary with modern burning and set in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with ericaceous remains. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
