What is recorded here

The site (Wth 1.48m; D 0.27m) consists of brushwood and three roundwoods in opposing drain faces. The lighter brushwood is located on the W side of the deposit with some heavier pieces and roundwoods on the E side. A single toolmark was recorded. Wood species include alder, Pyrus/Malus, oak, ash, holly and hazel. The site is located 0.86m above subsoil in moderately humified Phragmites peat containing unidentified roots and natural wood above the site. The site is located 4.5m S of SMR OF015-492----.
