What is recorded here

This site (Wth 1.9m; D 0.21m) consists of an irregular but compact deposit of light brushwood in opposing drain faces. One piece is cut to a wedge point. Wood species are dominated by birch and alder, and willow, ash and Pomoideae are also recorded. The site lies in well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. The site lies below OF-BLY 0002 and OF-BLY 0030 and is located c. 2m NW of OF-BLY 0035. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
