What is recorded here

The site (L 1.6m min.; Wth 0.55m; D 0.05m) is orientated NE-SW and composed of compact light brushwood, laid two pieces deep, with two pegs on the field surface. Occasional transverse twigs are also incorporated into the structure. The pegs are set at 80°. One peg is set at the centre of the site towards the N, while the other is 0.5m to the E. Woodworking is indicated by chisel points on a number of pieces. One piece was identified as alder. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin).
