What is recorded here

The site (L 1.3m min.; Wth 0.63m; D 0.23m) is orientated NE-SW and composed of longitudinal brushwood (diam. 0.018-0.05m), laid three pieces deep, secured with a near vertical peg on adjacent field surfaces. Woodworking is evidenced by a metal-cut chisel point. Two pieces were identified as birch and hazel, respectively. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat.
