What is recorded here

The site (Wth 1.12m; D 0.14m) is orientated NE-SW and composed of compact longitudinal brushwood on the field surface. It is formed of approximately twenty-five pieces of light brushwood, laid 3-4 pieces in depth, with a near vertical peg at the centre of the structure. Occasional twigs are also incorporated into the structure, in addition to an irregular bed of twigs located in the W corner of the exposed area. Woodworking is evidenced by a quarter-split timber which is trimmed on all sides. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
