This site was located in the industrial peatlands of Daingean South Bog. It was first recorded in the 2013 Reassessment Peatland Survey as a deposit of brushwood and roundwood elements (Diam 0.02-0.08m, max. L 1.04m) exposed on the field surface at the drain edge N of OF010-500.
The find spot was relocated in 2014 (licence 14E0305) using GPS, but no wood remained in situ (Whitaker 2017).
A fragment of hazel was chosen for AMS dating and returned a result of cal. AD 1217-1293 (UBA 26596).
