What is recorded here

The site (L 0.5m min.; Wth 1.93m; D 0.27m) is orientated NNW-SSE and consists of two layers. The basal layer consists of roundwoods and occasional twigs, above which is a layer of mixed brushwood and twigs. In both layers the material is longitudinally laid. This site is in poor condition with the uppermost material having suffered machine damage. There is no evidence of woodworking. This site sits in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with ericaceous remains. SMR OF010-404---- lies 0.7m below this site at its E edge.
