Situated on a low natural hillock 195m N of Durrow Abbey House (OF009-005002-) and 300m NW of Durrow church (OF009-005013-) and graveyard (OF009-005009-). Curving arc on E side of possible enclosure shows up as a partial cropmark on GSI aerial photograph (GSIAP N. 535/6) taken in 1973 (SMR File). Geophysical survey carried out in 2006 confirmed the identification of a large sub-circular shaped enclosure (diam. c. 110m E-W; 100m N-S) defined by a double ditch with possible entrance gap to S (King 2012, 128). A sub-square shaped feature in the E quadrant of the enclosure suggests the presence of possible structure, while other internal ditches suggest the possibility of divisions within the enclosure.
