What is recorded here

The site (L 5.46m; D 0.1m) appears to be orientated NW-SE but the components are irregularly laid. It consists of brushwood laid up to three pieces deep. The site has been substantially disturbed by milling and little wood remains in situ. The majority of pieces appear to have been broken but some show evidence for woodworking. Wood species include birch. The site is located in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
