What is recorded here

The site (L 24.7m; Wth 1m; D 0.2m) is orientated NW-SE and is composed of brushwood and roundwoods on the field surface. The wood, (diam. 0.01-0.08m), is compactly deposited with the major elements mostly laid longitudinally. Some transverse brushwood is also present as well as a number of more irregularly laid pieces. A single peg is recorded. Numerous metal-cut toolmarks are recorded. Wood species include birch. The site is recorded at two locations and sits in moderately humified Sphagnum peat.
