What is recorded here

The site (L 17.12m; Wth 0.8m; D 0.06m) is orientated N-S and consists of brushwood and occasional twigs. The brushwood is predominantly longitudinal with occasional transverse pieces. These pieces are located at the edge of the site and may constitute pieces displaced from the main concentration. One piece is cut to a chisel point. Wood species include birch. The site is located in well-humified Sphagnum peat with abundant root fibres. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
