What is recorded here

The site (L 25m; Wth 0.49m; D 0.09m) is orientated E-W and noted at three sightings on the field surface. It consists of a compact arrangement of longitudinal roundwoods interspersed with longitudinal and transverse brushwood. The position of a small number of brushwood uprights along the edges at angles of c. 45-50° may indicate the presence of pegs. Evidence for woodworking is apparent on one piece. Wood species include hazel. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
