A fragment of a radially split plank (L 0.218m; Wth 0.083m; D 0.029m) in the drain face. The plank is situated in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. This site may represent a disturbed togher or one of a number of isolated plank sites which occur frequently in this bog and whose associations are ambiguous. SMR OF007-120----, an isolated plank, is located 5m to the S. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
