What is recorded here

The site (L 30.51m; Wth 0.7m; D 0.1m) is orientated NE-SW and constructed of brushwood and light roundwoods. The W sighting is composed of four pieces of light brushwood of hazel and alder and one light, ash roundwood. The pieces of wood are parallel and are set up to 0.18m apart. The E sighting is composed of four pieces of heavy brushwood. The wood at both locations is machine-damaged and set in disturbed Sphagnum peat with woodchips noted in the surrounding areas. SMR OF007-079----, a similar site up to 6.3m to the N, runs parallel to this site. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
