Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00474
Dimensions: H 0.44, W 0.21, T 0.145
A six line inscription with damage to the beginning and end of each line. It is a very deep stone with a smooth flat surface which led Macalister to suggest that it was used as a piece of masonry.
Inscription: 'MUIR MURITH ISTIUSE PONTI NESOP[THE[SI]TU[S'.
Evidence of discovery: Macalister 1898-1905.
Condition: Very worn; part of the inscription is lost.. The Clonmacnoise inventory was compiled by the Office of Public Works. A copy of the record for this slab is available for inspection in the relevant Archaeological Survey of Ireland (SMR) file.
