Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00473 Dimensions: H 0.77, W 0.88, T 0.07 No cross. An inscription in five lines. Inscription: 'OROIT AR THURCAIN LASANDERNAN IN [C]HROSA' ' Pray for Turcain who made this cross'. Evidence of discovery: Graves 1855. Found in a collection of Petrie's drawings published in 1872. Condition: Worn; lower part of inscription damaged. National Monuments Service, Photo number: 81- Stokes, M. (1878) Christian Inscriptions in the Irish language, Vol 1, p LXIV, no. 153. The Clonmacnoise inventory was compiled by the Office of Public Works. A copy of the record for this slab is available for inspection in the relevant Archaeological Survey of Ireland (SMR) file.
