Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00202
Dimensions: Unknown.
Hollow angled ring cross with a pointed base which contains a triquetra. There is a circular ornament in the centre of the cross.
Inscription: 'OR DO LOAN' inscribed in three lines about the head of the cross.
Evidence of discovery: Drawn by Petrie at Clonmacnoise in 1822. Lost before 1872, refound 1954-58.
Condition: Now lost.
Stokes, M. (1878) Christian Inscriptions in the Irish language, Vol 1, p V, no. 14. The Clonmacnoise inventory was compiled by the Office of Public Works. A copy of the record for this slab is available for inspection in the relevant Archaeological Survey of Ireland (SMR) file.
