Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00028
Dimensions: H 0.177, W 0.68-0.38, T 0.09
Two small outline crosses above each end of the inscription. A large amount of the slab is unused. The lower part of the slab seems to have carving marks on it. This was possibly an upright slab.
Inscription: 'MAELIOHAIN EPS' in one line below the crosses.
Evidence of discovery: Petrie 1822
Condition: Streaked with lime but otherwise complete.. The Clonmacnoise inventory was compiled by the Office of Public Works. A copy of the record for this slab is available for inspection in the relevant Archaeological Survey of Ireland (SMR) file.
