What is recorded here

The site (L 20.97m; Wth 1.12m; D 0.057m) is orientated N-S and consists of the severely damaged light roundwoods and some mixed brushwood. It is mostly destroyed and survives only as disturbed fragments of desiccated wood, mainly longitudinal laid. One roundwood appears to be quarter-split and there is a small peg at the S end. The site is in poorly to moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some clay in the surrounding peat. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
