No surface tace visible of watermill which was excavated by A.T. Lucas in 1955. Dated dendrochonologically to c. AD. 636 +/- 9 (pers. comm. M. Baillie). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
