What is recorded here

This is the site of a natural ridge which appears to have been scarped on the eastern side. This ridge is located on reclaimed land in an area full of natural eskers. It is possible that this is a natural feature of no archaeological significance due to its location and shape. The ridge only measures 12m wide which is too small for a ringfort. Indicated as a possible earthwork on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 23 May 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
