On flat pasture in upland area. Tall rectangular shaped conglomerate stone (H 2.7m; 1m x 1.02m) which tapers at the top from SW to NE with evidence of packing stones at its base. Aligned E-W. According to the ITA Survey (1942) there were a number of standing stones in the vicinity none of which survive today. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
