Located in dense woodland on the summit of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. This is an oval raised area (dims c. 40m N-S; c. 30m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (ext. H 2-3m) and an outer fosse (Wth of base 1.5m) with slight traces of an outer bank. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) is at N.
