Located in the valley of a rapid NW-SE stream, it is situated in Tonaneeve townland c. 5m from the E bank of a N-S section of the stream just before the stream turns E. A flat triangular stone (dims 1.3m x 0.7m; T 0.15m) is set on a piece of rock outcrop (total H 0.8m). A single piece of stone (L c. 5m; Wth c. 1m; T 0.2m) crosses the stream to the W side where a natural corrie in Camaghy townland provides a sloping terrace for the congregation. It is known as the Splink (Ó Gallachair 1957, 122), probably derived from the Irish splinc meaning an elevated point. The valley is in mixed woodland, although the area in Camaghy has been partly cleared.
