Located on a rise in a fairly high col with the summits of drumlins c. 230m to the NNW, c. 250m to the S and c. 400m to the E but with lower ground to the NE. This is a subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 29m E-W; 25.5m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 4-4.5m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.5-1.8m) and hedge, with an outer fosse best preserved NW-E (at E: Wth of top 3m; D 0.2m). An outer bank (Wth of base 2.4-4m; ext. H 0.2-0.6m) only survives NE-E. The entrance is a large gap (Wth of base 4.2m) and causeway (Wth of top 4.6m) at NE. A NNE-SSW field bank adds an outer stone facing to the inner bank E-SE. There is a rectangular house site (int. dims 6.6m E-W; 6m N-S) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 1.6m; H 0.1m) that has an entrance (Wth 1.5m) at E in the centre.
