What is recorded here

Dual court-tomb, now destroyed. Sketch plan of monument survives in notebook of Henry Morris now in the custody of his family which shows two separate galleries set in line and extending over a distance of 75ft (c. 23m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 17 July 2007

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
