Situated on the SE-facing slope of a NW-SE drumlin and just S of a small lough or pond (diam. c. 35m) known as ‘Blind Lough’. It was described in 1967 as a subcircular or D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 54m NNW-SSE; 51m ENE-WSW) that slopes down to the SE. It was defined by an earthen bank (at NW: Wth of base 7.5m; Wth of top 2.6m; int. H 1.7m; ext. H 1.4m) and outer rounded fosse (at NW: Wth of top 5.4m; ext. D 1.1m) SSW-NW, which was reduced to a scarp (at SE: Wth 1.5m; H 2m) SE-SSW. The perimeter was provided by the lough NW-E. A gap at NW was modern but at ENE a ramp, which might also have been modern, led down to the edge of the lake. It had been removed by 2000 (OSAP).
