What is recorded here

Situated on a shelf towards the bottom of a NE-facing slope and almost on the floor of a little NW-SE valley between drumlins. Only the W half of this monument survives as a grass and scrub-covered area (diam. c. 34m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth 4m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 1m), with an entrance (Wth of base 1.2m) at NW. There is no visible fosse and the E part of the monument has been quarried. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 6 December 2017

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
