What is recorded here

Located on a slight NW-SE ridge on a shelf which is on a NE-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 30m E-W; 27.5m N-S) that slopes down slightly to the SE (H 1.4m) defined by a grass and scrub-covered earthen bank (Wth 4-4.6m; int. H 0.4-1.3m; ext. H 1.2-1.3m). There is no visible fosse, but the entrance (Wth of base 2m) is at ESE The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
