What is recorded here

Located on a terrace just below the summit of a broad NW-SE drumlin ridge on the SW side. This was described in 1967 as a circular grass-covered area with rock outcrop (diam. 26.5m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by a slight earthen bank best preserved E-SW (Wth 3.5m). It had been removed by 1995 (OSAP). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 31 January 2018
