What is recorded here

Located towards the top of a W-facing slope. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 41m E-W; 39m N-S) with rock outcrop that slopes down to the SW (H 3.2m) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3-4m; int. H 1-1.1m; ext. H 1.2-2m), with an internal stone facing WSW-N-E. There is no visible fosse and the entrance (Wth of base 1.45m) is at SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
