Located at the NW angle at the triangular N part (max. dims c. 630m WNW-ESE; c. 460m N-S) of Bawn Lough, at a point where a stream leaves the lake. A small island is represented here on the 1834 and 1907 editions of the OS 6-incha map. This is a small cairn incorporating a natural sand bank (diam. c. 15m).
