A 'grave with a small wall around it and containing a lot of small bones was found…when digging for gravel on Logwood Hill…about a field away from the "giant's grave" in Calliagh townland' (IFC School's MSS (949), 94, 503: https://www.duchas.ie/en/cbes ), but it is not known which megalithic tomb (MO013-031----; MO013-032----) was intended.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
