What is recorded here

Situated towards the top of the S-facing slope of a drumlin. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 31.5m E-W; 28.2m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at E: Wth of base 4.2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.75m) with some bushes and an external fosse (at E; Wth of base 0.9m; D 0.4m), with an outer field bank SW-N-NE. The entrance (Wth of base 2.7m) is at SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
