What is recorded here

Situated at the crest of the E-facing slope of a drumlin. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 47.5m NE-SW; 29.5m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth of base 5.3m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.85m) NE-SE and WSW-NW with a hedge and an outer fosse (at SE: Wth of base 1.8; ext. D 1.1m). The original entrance is not identified. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
